The Detached Display water meter uses our trusted 30+ year paddle wheel design. The meter head comes with a 15-ft wire separating the LCD display from the paddle wheel sensor (longer or shorter wire lengths by special order). The meter head comes ready for wall mounting, instead of attachment to the water pipe as with the PMD version. The 15-ft wire allows for water monitoring in pipes that are not easily viewed such as underground or overhead. The meter face simultaneously displays the flow rate, a resettable totalizer, and a non-resettable totalizer in 3 viewing windows. Can be used on pipes 1/2” to 8” in size, on schedule 40 and 80 pipes. The electronics are housed in a water resistant ABS case with AA batteries accessible for customer replacement. Batteries in DD meters last 3-6 years, depending on use, environment, and battery manufacturer.
