Bonded saddles are factory adhered to a 13” section of pipe. Installation requires the removal of a section of the existing pipe and coupling in the replacement pipe section with the pre-mounted saddle. Once the pipe connections are completed and the adhesive has cured, normal flow can be restored. Bonded saddle pipe sections pipe sections are available in sizes ranging from ½” to 4”. Pipe sizes 1/2”, 3/4”, and 1” are offered in schedule 80 only. Schedule 40 and 80 pipes share the same outside diameter, allowing our schedule 80 pipe sections to be connected directly into existing schedule 40 piping systems. The saddle is specific to the pipe size and schedule. For example, a saddle for a 3" schedule 40 pipe will not work on a 3" schedule 80 pipe. Meter heads, whether pipe mounted or detached display, can be field programmed to any specific saddle size. Saddles are added as an option when ordering the meter heads or can be purchased separately.
